Why choose this tour
Other whale shark trips from Lombok travel for many hours by road and boat. This trip flies guests straight to Sumbawa, so they arrive rested on day one and have two full days for the sea.
On day two guests head out at first light to Saleh Bay, where whale sharks gather near the traditional fishing platforms. They swim alongside from a small canoe with the guide, and the moment is filmed by drone. Day three is spent on Moyo Island: the turquoise pools of Mata Jitu waterfall and snorkelling at two of the island's reefs, chosen according to the weather.
There are three versions. From Lombok, guests fly to Sumbawa and back to Lombok. From Bali, they fly Bali to Sumbawa and can return to Bali, Jakarta, Labuan Bajo or Lombok. From Labuan Bajo, they fly via a transit to Sumbawa and can return to Labuan Bajo, Bali, Lombok or Jakarta.
