Book with the Local Owner, Not a Reseller Far Away

Many Komodo trips online are sold by resellers who have no office in Labuan Bajo or on Komodo. When something goes wrong, there is nobody to meet. Arah Pesona Trip is owned by Akbar, born on Komodo Island, and our office is in Labuan Bajo. You can walk in and meet us before your trip.

  • Meet the owner in Labuan Bajo

Our office is at Kampung Air, Jl. Soekarno Hatta. Come in, see who runs your trip and ask anything face to face.

  • Pay when you arrive

You do not have to send money to someone you have never met. You can pay at our office when you arrive in Labuan Bajo.

  • Credit and debit cards accepted

Pay by Visa, Mastercard or American Express, credit or debit, as well as bank transfer and QRIS.

7 Mistakes People Make When Booking a Komodo Trip

Most bad Komodo trips go wrong before the boat leaves the harbour. Here is what to check, and how we handle each one.

  1. Booking a boat that gets swapped at the last minute

The photo shows one boat and you board another.

How we do it: Book a boat confirmed by name: NK, SF or the AR speedboat. The boat you book is the boat you board.

3D Komodo Sailing on NK Superior Phinisi
  2. Sleeping in a windowless cabin below deck

The cheapest beds on many liveaboards sit inside the hull, with no window and little air.

How we do it: Our ocean-view trips use boats with no lower deck. Every cabin has a window facing the sea.

  3. Going home without seeing a Komodo dragon

In mating season the dragons hide, and many groups leave the island having seen none.

How we do it: Local guides from Komodo know where to look. If you do not see a dragon, we refund you.

  4. Finding out about extra fees on the boat

Park and ranger fees are often left out of the price and collected in cash on the day.

How we do it: Every trip page states whether fees are included or paid on the day. Many trips are fully prepaid.

  5. Sharing a speedboat with 20 to 30 people

A crowded boat means queues at every stop and less time in the water.

How we do it: AR is a named luxury speedboat for small groups, with drone, GoPro and camera included.

  6. Sharing a double bed with a stranger

Solo travellers on shared trips are often given whatever bed is left.

How we do it: Book a guaranteed single bed, on the boat and in the hotel.

3D Komodo Sailing & Land Tour 12 Stops, Guaranteed Single Bed
  7. Booking through a broker who has never been there

When something changes, a reseller cannot fix it.

How we do it: We are owned by a Komodo Island native, with an office in Labuan Bajo you can walk into.

An unforgettable experience that I'll always cherish!

From the very beginning, the admin team was incredibly patient with all my random questions since it was my first time joining an open trip. They were super helpful, explained everything clearly, and made the booking process so easy and hassle-free.

It was truly a wonderful journey with Arah Pesona. We couldn't stop feeling grateful from the very beginning — starting with the special discount promo we received during booking, and then getting a complimentary room upgrade when we arrived on the boat.

The itinerary was perfectly arranged, allowing us to experience the beauty of nature in a more peaceful atmosphere without overwhelming crowds. Because of that, we were able to fully enjoy every destination along the trip.

Our trip with Arah Pesona was truly amazing. They are a trustworthy travel agent who helped us connect with the wonderful Phinisi Gajah Putih experience. We were very grateful to receive a cashback promo and a free room upgrade for this trip.

The tour guide was excellent, the crew was friendly and fun, and the food on the boat was delicious. The itinerary was flexible, which actually made the experience even better because we were able to see manta rays, Komodo dragons, baby sharks, and bats without the crowds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Komodo National Park fees included?

It depends on the trip, and each page says so clearly. On all-fees-included trips nothing is paid on board. On the others, park entrance and ranger fees are paid in cash on the day: the guide collects them on the boat and pays at the park counter for the group.

Which boat will I be on?

You book a boat class and a cabin category. The specific boat is assigned closer to departure and always matches the class booked. We confirm the boat name before you travel.

Can children and non-swimmers join?

Yes. Children are welcome: tell us their ages so we can prepare life jackets and choose suitable snorkelling spots. Non-swimmers can join with a life jacket, but not in deep water. Our guides snorkel with the group.

Will I share a cabin with strangers?

Only if you book a shared cabin or dorm. Shared rooms may be mixed-gender. Private cabins are for you and your companion only.

Where do you pick up?

From hotels, homestays and villas in Labuan Bajo, from Komodo Airport, or from another address in town that you choose.

How do I book and pay?

Send your request on WhatsApp or by email to arahpesonaindo@gmail.com. Our team confirms availability and your price in writing. You can pay when you arrive in Labuan Bajo, at our office, by credit card, debit card, bank transfer or QRIS.
